We are a small sailing charter company with a new, exceptionally fast, extremely comfortable and hybrid sailing yacht.
Our boat is a JPK39FC (Fast Cruiser). This 39 footer received the “Best Performance Cruiser” Award in the European Yacht of the Year election in 2022.

Unique feat, we have an Oceanvolt Servoprop electric motor annex hydrogenerator. The Oceanvolt hydrogenerator has the best performance on the market.
Experience electric motoring, and charging batteries when sailing. No solar panel or wind generator competes with this.
Experience sailing on a planing sailing yacht. It is in fact a large Laser. We have a spacious sail wardrobe.
Even guests without sailing experience learn how easy it is to steer a JPK. Yes, also when planing.
We intend to ‘sail around’ with the smallest possible carbon footprint.

We have received our Special Tonnage certificate and our yacht is now registered under the Dutch flag. We comply with the Dutch commercial safety requirements. Our flag stands high in the registration (trust) ranking.

We have made extra investments to meet the strict Dutch saftey requirements. After the first survey we realised this is not just a formality. Good attention points were adressed and all points are executed now. It certainly increased our safety standard.
Do you like adventure and sailing but don’t have time for a world tour? Then sail a leg of your choice with us.

Enjoy the unique sailing capabilities of a light displacement yacht. Get the thrills of a planing yacht.

At the end of the day, anchoring, on a mooring, or in historic harbours.

Hike along breathtaking coastlines.
Explore historical navigational routes.
Visit remote islands.
Our first leg was from Den Helder to Loriënt. The JPK shipyard is close to Loriënt and JPK had to do some work on our boat. This was finished 1st of August, shortly before the holidays.

The crossing of Biscay took three days. we had 0 to max 8 Bf, from all directions but generally (little) downwind.

The coastal trip along Spain Galicië was stunning. Gladly no orca’s were seen.

We are now in Portugal, at the marina of Póvoa de Varzim.

The launch
Three years after ordering our new JPK 39 FC is being launched on the 11th of July in Loriënt. She has been tested and sailed to homeport Den Helder.
Equiped for circumnavigation
During the design and further after the delivery the yacht is being equiped for a world circumnavigation.
Start of our enterprise
In April we started the smallest chartering company in the Netherlands fastcruising.yachts VOF. The idea is to share the unique experience of a fastcruising yacht with other sailors.
Day and weekend sailing
August 23 we started day- and weekend cruises from Willemsoord Den Helder. Several visits to UK were inhibited.

Compliance for chartering
This Year we have done a lot of work on the boat to comply with all the safety regulations, involved in commercial chartering under Dutch flag.
Daysailing
And ofcourse we had as well day sailing fun with our guests on the sheltered waters of Texelstroom.
Start of circumnavigation
On July 22th we started our round the world tour. Check out our current location with Polarsteps.

You can join us if you like. Our next upcoming crossing is from Póvoa de Varzim to Madeira.
Simply send us a note in the contact form.
After many years of preparing and waiting we came to the final moment of launching, doing the test tryals and sailing to homeport Den Helder.
Yes, indeed exciting, as we were questioning if the results would meet our expectations.
Such as,
This JPK is equiped with a lot of new technolgy? Is this going to function well all together?
Didn’t we overload a light displacement yacht with hardware? Will she still be a performance cruiser?
Was it a wise decision to go for electric propulsion and hydrogeneration? How reliable is electric in practice?
Is our battery pack capable of handling the daily consumption? In other words, is the diesel generator necessary or redundant?
Well now, after our first test sails and daily usage, we know some more. And all the questions and answers will be following in our upcoming blogs.

Techniek maakt afhankelijk.

Yes, finally our circumnavigation schedule is ready. Check it out and subscribe to a leg in our route which suits you best.

We moeten weg. Maar eerst nog de laatste loodjes.

One of the items in the class rules survey was the obligation to have double liferafts on board.
